Up Until Now
Originally from western Massachusetts, Sean majored in journalism at Syracuse University, where he graduated with honors, and worked at two newspapers in upstate New York before moving to Germany in 2001 after time in Australia and France.
Over several years as a freelance then staff writer and editor for the Deutsche Welle's English online service. At Deutsche Welle, Germany's international broadcaster, Sean was responsible for identifying topics and assigning, editing, posting and laying out articles, photo galleries and other online material created by a team of writers for Deutsche Welle's English website (www.dw-world.de/english).
He moved on to become the online editor of Deutsche Welle's English science and technology and environment and development sections. In this position he continued to select, assign, edit, post and layout articles and other online and audio material.
Other experience includes designing websites, press releases, as well as advertisements and other printed material for several corporate clients. Sean has also helped businesses with technical translations and to improve their employees' English-language skills.
